The roads of New York are often busy, especially during the holiday season. As people rush about to make last minute preparations or travel long distances to see family members, it is all too easy to be a little less careful on the road than usual. Sadly, it only takes one slip-up for devastating events to ensue. Such was the case just before Christmas in 2014, when a multivehicle crash left two injured and another two dead.

According to reports, a 17-year-old was driving westbound when a second vehicle, driven by a 26-year-old, collided with his car as it left a parking lot. The late-night collision resulted in such an impact that one of the cars careened into a third vehicle. One driver was ejected from his car and may have been hit by yet another vehicle. He died at the scene.

His two passengers, aged 24 and 26, were both injured in the incident and hospitalized. Meanwhile, the teenager is believed to have hit a tree, also dying. The driver of the third vehicle was unharmed in the incident. However, this tragic crash has still claimed two lives and may have left families grieving at Christmas.

The investigation into the possible cause of the crash is underway. Unfortunately this is an all-too-common scene in New York. If you or a loved one have been involved in such an accident, you might benefit from the advice of an attorney. He or she can evaluate your circumstances and may be able to assist you if you choose to make a claim.
