A man riding his bicycle was struck and killed by a vehicle early Monday morning under the Brooklyn Queens Expressway.  According to police, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene.

The victim of this tragic accident has not yet been identified by police.  He was 32 years old.  The cyclist was riding on Meeker Avenue when the vehicle hit him near Frost Street.  The incident happened at about 4:30 am.  According to police, the cyclist suffered severe head trauma and was thereafter rushed to Bellvue Hospital.  He was pronounced dead at Bellvue Hospital.
