It only takes the slightest error for disaster to occur. A moment’s distraction, an unexpected obstacle, a sudden vehicle malfunction. Any of these issues can cause a car crash. However, the most dangerous things on the roads are often other drivers. No matter how careful you are or how well you know your route, things can still go wrong and you could find yourself involved in a serious accident.

Early one morning in Jamaica, one such disaster occurred when a single vehicle careened into scaffolding after coming off the roadway. According to reports, the collision sounded like an explosion even rousing a resident of the area from slumber. The impact caused the vehicle to burst into flames, as well as causing damage to the scaffolding, bringing down a light pole and even bending some beams.

Unfortunately, the two occupants of the vehicle died in the incident which could have been the result of the impact or the subsequent inferno. A construction crew was called to the scene to clear up the devastating scene. Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the tragedy.

Sadly, events like this are all too common in New York and, indeed, throughout the United States. Afterward, the victims or their survivors are left facing hefty medical bills, a long recovery or even funeral expenses.

It can be hard to know where to turn in the wake of such a traumatic event, especially if the incident was the fault of another driver. Fortunately, you do not need to face this alone. An attorney can advise you on what to do next and may be able to support you if you decide to pursue compensation or seek an insurance payout.
