A single mistake on the part of a road user can result in lifetime devastation for the victims of an ensuing accident. Sadly, this happens all too often in New York. The busy roads are often full of both vehicles and pedestrians, so when a crash occurs, there are often many people nearby who can become embroiled in the incident. Often, this results in serious injuries or even death for many of those involved.

In Brooklyn, one little boy was extremely lucky to escape serious harm after a car, thought to have been running out-of-control, crashed into him one afternoon. The child is said to have been walking along the street with his grandmother nearby when the incident occurred. A surveillance video shows the car mounting the curb and toppling a small tree before driving over the little boy.

The child’s mother described the grandmother’s attempt to pick up her grandson, but he was trapped beneath the car. However, despite the obvious trauma of such an experience, his injuries were deemed to be minor and he was released from the care of the hospital that night. According to his mother, he is a lot better, despite being understandably shaken following the accident.

It is extremely fortunate that this little boy was not more seriously injured. Even so, accidents like this can take their toll. If you or a loved one have been harmed in any way as the result of a car accident, you might benefit from the support of an attorney. He or she can advise you about your options and may be able to assist you if you decide to take legal action.
